Waffle: Daily Word Game

Word Waffle is a puzzle game inspired by Wordle. The object of the game is to form six words correctly using no more than 15 moves. All letters are arranged randomly on the game board in the form of a waffle. You must move the letters to other places to get valid 5 letter words.

Tips & Strategy

A few habits that help you solve more waffles with fewer moves.

1

Lock in the greens first. Correct letters never move, so plan every swap around them.

2

Prioritise the corners. Corner tiles belong to two words at once — fixing them unlocks the most.

3

Yellow means close. A yellow letter is in that word but the wrong cell — slide it along the line.

4

Mind the counter. Every swap costs a move; when only a few remain it turns red.

5

Repeated letters are tricky. If a letter is already green and the same letter appears yellow elsewhere in the word, the yellow may mean the word needs that letter again - or it may just be pointing back at the green one.

6

Corner and center tiles belong to two words at once. A yellow or gray tile there can refer to just one of the two crossing words - or to both, so check the across and the down word.
